Terms & Conditions
- Martinus Appartementen complex N.V. was founded as a Company under Firm (VOF). The intention is that it will be elevated to a Public Limited Company (N.V.).
- Martinus Appartementen complex N.V. commits itself to the best of knowledge and ability to make your stay in the apartments pleasant.
- RESERVATIONS
3.1 Martinus only accepts reservations from persons who are 18 years of age or older.
3.2 With every reservation, Martinus will send you a written confirmation and a quotation within 48 hours after the reservation has been made. Please check this for correctness after receipt. - CHANGES IN RESERVATIONS
If the reservation has already been made, and you wish to make changes to the reservation, Martinus will determine to what extent this is possible. - TENANT
The persons specified at check-in may stay in the apartments
6. PRICES
6.1 You owe Martinus the agreed rental price, as stated in the written confirmation, also a quotation of the reservation.
6.2 Price discounts and/or special offers can no longer be used if the confirmation of the reservation/quotation has been sent out by Martinus.
7. PAYMENTS
7.1 The deposit of at least 25% of the agreed amount must have been made within 30 days of the date of confirmation.
7.2 The remaining amount must be paid in cash on the day of check-in.
7.3 The rent must always be paid in advance. If you extend your stay, the rent must be paid at the Front desk before 12:00 p.m. at noon.
7.4 The rent may never be paid afterwards.
8. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
8.1 Entering the rented accommodation is already possible from 15:00 p.m. On the agreed day of departure as stated on the confirmation of the reservation, the accommodation must be vacated no later than 12:00.
8.2 If you extend your reservation, Martinus is always entitled to designate another accommodation.
8.3 Each extension must be requested from the Front Desk 2 days before the end date.
8.4 If the use of the accommodation is terminated earlier than on the agreed date, as stated on the confirmation of the reservation, 1 day’s rent will be charged
9. REGULATIONS
9.1 Guests are obliged to identify themselves at check-in. If the guests cannot show proof of identity, Martinus cannot or may not accommodate the guests.
9.2 Each apartment may only be occupied by the number of people registered at check-in.
9.3. In the event of a violation of the rules included in these General Terms and Conditions, or even the failure to follow instructions from the staff, Martinus has the right to immediately remove the tenant and any other user from the complex, without refund of the rent or part thereof.
10. PETS
Pets are NOT allowed on the complex and in the apartments.
11. SMOKING
Smoking in the building is prohibited.
12. BREAKAGE, LOSS
Any damage must be reported immediately by the tenant to Martinus and will be deducted from the deposit. If the deposit is not sufficient, the tenant is responsible for the full costs that must be paid.
13. SECURITY DEPOSIT
13.1 The security deposit is € 10,- per apartment.
13.2 The security deposit or any remainder thereof after payment of claims by Martinus against the tenant and / or users, will be returned if you leave the accommodation appropriately.
14. CANCELLATION CHARGES
14.1 If your reservation is canceled up to 14 days before arrival, 1-day (night) room rental will be charged.
14.2 In case of change or shortening of your stay up to 14 days before arrival, 1-day (night) room rent will be charged.
14.3 Shortening the specified period during your stay, 1-day (night) room rental will be charged.
14.4 If you cancel your reservation within 24 hours of the agreed date or have not arrived without further notice, this will be considered a cancellation and there will be no refund of the security deposit.
15. TERMINATION
Martinus has the right to cancel the reservation at any time with immediate effect if personal data of you and/or other users are provided incompletely and/or incorrectly when booking. In such a case, no refund will be made of the rent or part thereof.
16. LIABILITY
16.1 Martinus accepts no liability for theft, loss or damage of or to goods or persons, of whatever nature, during or as a result of the stay in the apartment, unless there is intent or gross negligence on the part of Martinus or (one of) its employees.
16.2 Martinus is not liable for malfunctions in the service or defects in services provided by third parties.
16.3 You and the user are jointly and severally liable for all loss and/or damage to the rented apartment and/or other property of Martinus that arises during the use thereof by you and/or other users, regardless of whether this is the result of acts or omissions of yourself and/or third parties who are on the complex with your permission.
16.4 You indemnify Martinus against all claims with regard to damage from third parties that are (partly) the result of any act or omission of yourself, other users, your travel companions or third parties who are on the complex with your permission.
17. SWIMMING POOL
17.1 Anyone who is not registered as a tenant with Martinus must pay the swimming fee at the Front Desk when entering the swimming pool area.
17.2 Bringing drinks and food to the pool is not allowed.
17.3 Swimwear is required.
18. APPLICABLE LAWS
The agreement between you and Martinus is exclusively governed by Surinamese law.
19. GENERAL
Apparent printing and typographical errors in the conditions are not binding for Martinus.
